Press Release Summary: Construction Commando announces new California construction
contracts and mechanic's lien waiver forms

Press Release Body: San Diego, CA – September 16, 2008 – Construction Commando, a
leading self-help legal resource for California’s construction industry, today
announced the release of two new contractor forms packages on its website,
www.constructioncommando.com. The site contains construction related legal
documents, including packages featuring the California Home Improvement Contract and
Mechanic’s Lien Waiver & Release.

“Nobody wants to be on the receiving end of a violation letter from the Contractors
State License Board,” said Suzanne Ervine, who established the Construction Commando
in 2006 to provide low cost legal services to California contractors. “Many
residential contractors don’t realize that their work requires a specific contract
that meets strict legal requirements.”

In California any contract with a homeowner or tenant, for work on a residence with
up to four units, falls within the scope of Home Improvement Contracting. If the
contract price is more than $750, a Home Improvement Contract is required. “Whether
you’re installing a new water heater for $800 or building a room addition for
$80,000, the contract requirements are the same,” said Ervine. Contractors working
on projects valued at $750 or less may utilize the Service & Repair Contract, also
mandated by statute, and included as part of Construction Commando’s Contracts
Package.

Construction Commando’s contracts package is specifically designed for the
residential contractor, and contains 14 documents in PDF and rich text formats,
including: Home Improvement Contract, Waiver of Right to Cancel, Service & Repair
Contract, Contract Change Order, Property Improvement Agreement (Residential), Prime
Building Contract (Non-Residential), Subcontract Agreement and Conditional and
Unconditional Waivers & Releases. The package sells for $185, and may be customized
with the contractor’s logo and slogan for an additional $55.

For just $25, contractors can order the Mechanic’s Lien Waiver & Release package,
containing Conditional and Unconditional Waivers & Releases for both progress
payments and final payments.

The California Construction Contracts Package and Mechanic’s Lien Waiver & Release
forms may be ordered through www.constructioncommando.com. Visitors to the website
may also download free contractor notices, including California Preliminary 20-Day
Notice forms for both public works projects and private works projects. The site
also offers a comprehensive reference library of free articles covering a variety of
construction and business law topics.
